 Growing - Transforming - Creating

The images above can be "read" in several directions - vertically and horistontally - which opens up several dimensions and a deep symbolism.

At the same time  the seven images are a unity - they shape a chalice together, and point also to the seven-branched candlestick - the menorah (as well as the seven sacraments).

Below is a short introduction to how the images can be interpreted.

The three images on top (horisontally) show some different aspects of the role of the Holy Spirit. The bird (the dove) in these images symbolizes at the same time the Triniy in the shape of three drops of water and three flames of fire.

From the left:

- Spirit of growth (baptism, renewal)

- Spirit of transformation (eucharist, transformation)

- Spirit of creation (confirmation, pentecostal fire, creativity)

The menorah motive in the middle row is an ancient Christian symbol which also witnesses of our Jewish "roots". The  seven-branched candlestick symbolizes the presence of God which permeates everything - thus the placement of this motive in the centre - and reflected in the images beside it.

From the left:

- Rose menorah (marriage, blossoming - at the same time the burning bush of Mose - fire that doesn't consume while burning)

- ”Shabbat Shalom” (confession, redemption, a transparent sabbath chalice - and a eucharist chalice - the chalice of suffering, which is transformed into a flower chalice and a menorah glowing by an inner light - the presence of God's love in the middle of suffering, new flourishment and verdure on the "world tree", the tree of life - or the vine where we are the branches)

- Dancing menorah (the anointment of the ill, healing, sabbath joy, dance and praise)

Everything is gathered and moves down into the final motive below - the foot of the "chalice", which holds everything and brings it to God for transformation.

- The earth - a host (priestly ordination, the transformation of the world, everything created is carried to the Creator to be healed, purified, restored, renewed - the dry land, the asphalt, floods, lakes, seas, plants, animals and also we ourselves....)

The music in the background is one of my improvised compositions.
