Welcome to Charlotte Thérèse's Oasis!

Here you'll find some spiritual resting places in the "desert", an oasis with fresh, clear water and green verdure...
But also pages which may challenge your thoughts a bit, and perhaps widen the perspectives!
Our way of thinking is renewed in the desert...

I'd like to invite you to the Icon Gallery II
In the first Icon Gallery you'll find many more photos of my icons!
If you like modern art, have a look at these paintings:

There are more paintings and several Art Exhibitions in the Artistic Oasis.
There you'll also find:

* a glimpse from a Way of Resurrection Uppståndelseväg med foton
*a glimpse from a Way of the Cross Korsväg med foton
(The two latter ones exist so far only in Swedish, but you may look at the photos...)
And why not read my story about The Bird.
I got to think of that story when I was sent the following poem by Rumi:
The bird of opinion has only one wing.
It jumps a few feet forward then falls to the ground.
And so it stumbles on, in hope of reaching its nest.
But when Knowledge gives that crippled bird
a second wing, it takes to the air like Gabriel,
leaving behind arguments and theories.
If everyone in the world were to say,
"You are on the Way to God,"
that bird would not feel more certain.
Or if all the world said, "You're on the wrong path,
You think you are a mountain,
but actually you are a blade of grass,"
heavy doubts would not ground that bird.
Even if the seas and mountains themselves
started shouting, "You're on the road to Hell,"
it would keep flying, because that bird is free.
Another allegory that I've written is the story about The Tree (an ecumenical story....)
In the Artistic Oasis you'll also find some of my songs with melodies.
May I suggest that you listen to the not yet finished Composition (inspired by the Song of Songs)?
In case you hear some music already on this page (depending on which files your computer can handle - you'll need some kind of mediaplayer to hear it) - it's me just playing and having fun... :-)
Talking about "having fun" - here are a few photos of "cat-holics" that might be inspiring regarding the renewal of the Church...
Who is now sitting in the tree?
The Ecumenical Oasis (an e-mail list which you're welcome to subscribe to), is a forum where all Christians are invited to meet and discuss ecumenical issues.
It's easy to subscribe to the list - just click on the "Join This Group" button at the Ecumenical Oasis site and follow the instructions. Feel free to spread the info about the list to those you know who might be interested to join it!
You might also want to explore the Christian links - and if you have suggestions of other interesting links for that page - write to me.
I'd especially like to recommend you to visit this page about the Community of the Beatitudes and this page about the Taizé brothers who visited Sweden a while ago.
The Blog is updated often - feel free to explore it (and the archives there), and to comment things!
And here you may read some of my Articles.
These are the most recent ones (in Swedish):
Taizé - ur ett fredsperspektiv
Kvinna, katolik - och kallad till präst?
If you like art, you might also enjoy this webpage: Church Artists which I'm working with, and which will contain many links to artistic pages around the world (suggestions of additions are welcome!).
Don't forget to visit and add your comments in my Guestbook!
The old guestbook was finally filled up to its limits - so I started a new one - and am looking forward to read your comments there!

May God’s gentle face shine upon you, child.
May God’s blessings flow on you like the rain.
May God’s love fill your life with marvellous things.
May God’s hand hold you close and lead your steps.
May God’s peace now surround you on the way.
Here is a practical translation tool - it may not give you an exact translation, sometimes it might even say very different things than what I meant - but if English isn't your main language, it might be of help anyway - and I think it's pretty amazing to see the site transformed into Chinese for example... :-)
